About

The BlaqHour is a space for real conversation, real music, and real perspective. It lives at the intersection of culture, politics, creativity, and lived experience, without the filters or performance most media platforms rely on.

Originally launched in 2013 by BlaqKharma, The BlaqHour began as a call in radio show rooted in independent hip hop, Black activism, and underground culture. From the start, the goal was simple: create a platform where artists, thinkers, and everyday people could speak freely about what was happening in their communities and in the world around them.

Over the years, The BlaqHour has featured legendary voices and independent greats alike, including members of the Dungeon Family such as C Bone and Backbone, along with countless artists, creatives, and change makers whose stories deserved space. The show has always centered the culture without sanitizing it, honoring both the beauty and the complexity of Black life.

Today, The BlaqHour has evolved into a podcast format while keeping the same foundation. It is a place for unfiltered dialogue on music, social issues, politics, mental health, and creative life. Episodes blend underground music with thoughtful conversation, grounded commentary, and moments of reflection that feel honest instead of performative.

The BlaqHour is currently co hosted by BlaqKharma and Corie, bringing multiple perspectives into each discussion while maintaining a shared commitment to truth, accountability, and cultural integrity.

This is not background noise.
This is not trend chasing.
This is conversation with purpose.

Welcome to The BlaqHour.
